Cheryl began her journey into osteopathy after a chronic running injury left her unable to run. She went to multiple practitioners that weren’t able to help her condition, at least until she was introduced to an osteopathic manual practitioner. After she recovered, she was so thrilled at the results that she wanted to help others feel better too. Cheryl quit her previous career and began her journey to become an osteopathic manual practitioner.

Cheryl completed her osteopathic studies from the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) at the Toronto campus. She was inspired to focus on pregnancy and infants during her time at the CCO because she was pregnant and gave birth to two children during her school year, as well as observed multiple classmates go through similar experiences during the course of her 5 year program. Cheryl successfully defended her thesis on the “Osteopathic Treatment and Pregnant Women in Canada: An Observational Study of Vaginal Births” at the Vancouver campus in 2017.

Cheryl has a special interest in and has also taken additional post-graduate courses on women’s health, pregnancy, infant/children and concussions. Cheryl has experience treating infants to the elderly.
